01What it does
What photo to video does here
An image-to-video request uses your photo as the starting frame and your words as the direction. The model keeps as much of the subject as it can — face, markings, clothing, product shape — and animates the motion you describe.
One image is accepted per request in this release (PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 10 MB); multi-reference inputs and end-frame controls are not available yet. Template workflows that need two photos, like Hotel Lobby AI, handle their roles separately.
02Photo prep
Prepare the photo before you describe the motion
Most disappointing animations start with the photo, not the prompt. Check:
Subject visible and whole
Keep the face, hands or paws inside the frame; a cropped body gives the model less to preserve.
Sharp, evenly lit, uncluttered
Daylight or soft light, one subject, a simple background.
No watermarks, borders or screenshots
They can be reproduced as if they belonged to the scene.
Rights and people
Use an image you own or have permission to use. Do not upload images of minors without the necessary rights, and never send private reference images to support.
Frame shape
Check the aspect ratios the selected model supports (16:9 and 9:16 are the common pair; MiniMax H3 keeps a photo's original aspect ratio).
03Motion prompt
Describe motion, not the picture
The model can already see the photo, so spend the prompt on what changes: “the subject turns slightly toward the camera and lifts one hand, camera slowly pushes in, keep the background and lighting unchanged.” Name one movement per clip and say what must stay fixed. Short, specific motion reads better than a list of effects, and a 5-second clip cannot hold a full action sequence.

The studio shows the account price before submission, and preparing a draft — including saving the photo locally — spends nothing. Kling 3.0 is listed in the library but generation with it is not available here.
A photo improves resemblance; it does not guarantee it. Extra limbs, changed markings, warped product labels, shifting backgrounds and odd motion are possible, especially when the subject is small, cropped or moving in the source photo. Review the clip before publishing. Uploading a photo confirms you have the rights to use it; likeness and commercial rights depend on the model's terms and your input rights. Completed videos are kept privately for 30 days with an email reminder 3 days before removal, and confirmed failed or cancelled tasks return unexpired credits with their original expiry date.

Is my photo uploaded when I select it?
Selecting a photo creates a local preview; continuing saves a draft in this browser. The image reaches the server and the generation provider only when you submit a generation.
Will the person or pet in my photo stay recognizable?
The prompt asks the model to preserve identity, and photo-based workflows usually do better than text alone — but likeness, markings and anatomy can still change. Review the result before publishing.
How much does photo to video cost?
The same rates as text to video for the selected model and settings (for example Seedance 1.5 Pro 480p 5 s = 8 credits; Wan 3.0 480p 5 s = 50). Template videos use 750 credits at 480p or 1,500 at 720p before plan discounts.
Can I animate a photo with two people or two pets?
A custom generation accepts one reference image in this release. Two-photo templates such as Hotel Lobby AI and A2O LITE NEON AI are the supported route for two roles.
What happens if the result fails or I need it again later?
A failed or cancelled task returns unexpired credits with their original expiry date. Finished clips stay in your private library for 30 days, with an email reminder before removal.
